Jakhu studio is a London-based jewellery brand founded in 2017 on the principles of contemporary design, high quality Craftsmanship and the finest materials. Jakhu jewellery is handcrafted in Peru in a collaborative partnership with women silversmiths from San Jeronimo de Tunan, in the central Andes; using locally source silver and traditional techniques of jewellery-making.

Jakhu creates a bridge amongst past tradition and contemporary culture; bringing together the love for the old and new, with intent to preserve the art of silversmithing. Driven by the universal language of geometry, the design is simple but strong; inspired by the ancient arts and the wonders of mother nature. The pieces are very lightweight and generally mobile. They naturally reflect the light, in an intimate relation with the movement and the body.

Jakhu means “things of value” in Aymara, a pre-Inca language. Each Jakhu jewel has an individual value and story to tell, transcending time, trends, and cultures.
